"Everything is in our hands" - individual messages to state structures
Patients with rheumatoid arthritis demand access to treatment. Within the information campaign "Everything is in our hands", doctors, rheumatologists, patients and their supporters gathered and shared their emotions, problems and how difficult it is to live with the disease. Also, the state structures were once again reminded of the need to finance the treatment of the disease. The event was organized under the auspices of the Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients' Union and aimed to raise public and state awareness of the disease and its treatment in order to provide timely diagnosis and access to biological medications that will help patients do more independently in their daily lives.
At the end of the event, patients made statues of their injured hands with plaster. These will be individual messages to the state structures about how difficult it is to live with rheumatoid arthritis when your joints don't obey you. Patients want to convey an important message to the state that "everything is in our hands" and as a result of treatment, their quality of life and work ability will improve significantly, they will be able to remain active members of society.
